IQ scores are normalized so that age is, at least theoretically, immaterial: 100 is supposed to be average; anything below that is below average and anything above that is above average, though the error bars are large enough that a couple of points is not significant.

They're also kind of artificial, and don't really mean a whole lot other than that you did well or poorly on a particular test. Doing well COULD mean you're smart, or it could mean that you were just lucky. If at 39 you got a 124 and needed to ask this question, my money is on the latter.
