Pillow can be used as a noun or a verb.

There are two meanings to it. Using pillow as a noun refers to the object we use for sleeping or as a part of the cushion in a furniture. Using pillow as a verb may mean in support of or as protection against blows.

Example:

"During a heavy wind and rain, Elizabeth pillowed her child with her body."

or

"Too exhausted to run, he found the closest mound of dry earth to rest as on a pillow."

However, in writing, it's best to keep it simple - pillow works best as a noun.
