The value of 2 grams of 10k gold can vary based on the current market price of gold. As of my last update, the price of gold was around $60 per gram for 24k gold. Since 10k gold is 41.7% pure gold, 2 grams of 10k gold would contain approximately 0.83 grams of pure gold, making it worth around $49.80 at that price. However, it's essential to check the current gold prices for an accurate valuation.

I have same question? Is 10k top the same as 10k. I have 2 pins that say this.... I will know later because i order a mizar gold tester today. I write back with my findings.
Pure gold is 24 karat.12 karat gold contains 1/2 pure gold (12/24=50%).14 karat gold is 14 parts pure gold and 10 parts other metal.14/24 = .5833So, 14 karat gold is 58.33% pure gold.7.8 grams x 58.33% = 4.55 grams pure gold.There are 28.35 grams to an ounce.4.55 grams = (4.55/28.35) = .16049 or about 16.05% of an ounce.ANSWER: Multiply current per ounce rate of 24K Gold by .1605If Gold is at $1,000 per ounce,then 7.8 grams of 14K gold is worth $160.50(1,000 x .1605 = 160.50)

2 kg is 2000 grams , depending on 14k , 10k , or whatever , about 17.00 per gram for 10k , 27.00 for 14k . potentially up to 50,000.00 + us dollars.
an ounce of pure gold is about 31 grams so this amount is about 71% of an ounce. If the gold you are referring to is pure, 24Kt, then it is worth about 71% of the going price of an ounce of pure gold, or just under $800. US.If the gold you are referring to is less than pure 24K, it needs to be calculated based on how pure it is. IE: 10K would be less than 1/2 of that value.
If you go to kitco.com and see that gold is at $1000 a troy oz, Get a calculator and divide $1000 by 31.1035 (*how many grams there are in a troy ounce) It will show that gold nuggets weighing 2 gms. would be worth $32.15x2=$64.30 Right now they are worth: $906.10 divided by 31.1035 = $29.13x2 =$58.26

Any weight, of anything, you should measure by weight scale. While karat designation tells you only how many parts of gold, karats, are in the total of 24 parts. 10 karat gold ring has 10 parts of gold and 14 parts of other metals inside. But it does not say anything about the weight.
10k gold is 41.7 per cent gold. if you know the spot price for gold per troy oz. you can do quick math and determine the value of the gold per gram. A troy ounce is 20 DWT. if you multiply the 20 penny weights by 1.555 you determine that there are 31.1 grams of 24k (pure) gold per troy ounce. Spot price is based on a troy ounce. if you divide the spot price by 31.1 that will give you the price per gram of 24k or 100 per cent gold. multiple the gram price by.417 to determine your 10k price per gram. Also, it doesn't really matter whether it is white or yellow gold. The gold purity stays the same no matter what the hue.
