Copper-nickel clad 2009 Kennedy halves were only issued in Mint sets and as separate uncirculated coins, although many have "leaked" into circulation anyway when those sets are broken up.

As such, any that you find in change are only worth face value. Even an average uncirculated one will retail for less than a dollar, although top-quality ones can sell for as much as $20.

Special 90% silver versions were made for "Prestige Proof" sets. As of 03/2010 these retail for anywhere from $5 to $27 depending on quality.
