Deep hole. Outhouse should be comfortable size. IE getting coat on and off. Natural light source is very nice. Tight seat cover prevents pit venting into the outhouse. A six inch tube should allow pit to vent outside, at least 8 feet above ground level. Tube can go beside or through out house. Probably better if through the bench box, which will be the highest spot above the pit. Screened vents in occupant areas of outhouse also create nice fresh airflow.
In order to have a shower, toilet, ect... you have to FIRST build a cabin and THEN build TWO cabin living room chairs. Then, when you've done that it will say "New Plans: Outhouse & Shower plans".
