Fish are mostly made of water, like us. However, they don't contain as much gas in their bodies as we do (oxygen in our blood, burrito gas in our stomachs, and air pockets in our ear canals.) Their bodily water pressure is at the same pressure as the water in their surroundings. If we were born and raised down there too, we'd probably be wondering how those creatures on the surface survive WITHOUT pressure! (Yes, we do have 14.7 psi of air pressure - and we'd be hurt if we suddenly had zero pressure, such as in space.)
Depends entirely on the type of fish. Some live their lives at a particular depth. Some use the ocean like an elevator - you might find them at 20 feet or 600 feet. Some are deep ocean oriented, and live in the eternal darkness of the deep.
The bread and the cheese!
The barreleye fish is a small fish that lives in the deep to medium-depth parts of the ocean. Because this fish is so small, almost everything eats it, including squid, sharks, and tuna.
They don't. Fish that live at a high depth stay there for as long as the live, as they would explode when pressure dropped. The same is true for fish that live high up in the ocean: they would implode when pressure rises.
The partial pressure of oxygen decreases with depth in the ocean due to increasing water pressure. At 250 meters depth, the partial pressure of oxygen in the blood of a fish would be significantly lower compared to the surface level. This reduction in oxygen partial pressure can impact the fish's ability to extract oxygen for respiration.
Depends on the depth and whether it's warm or cold water. However, at the depth we usually consider "the ocean" there are moray eels, clown fish, sea anemones, coral, parrot fish, sea urchins, lobsters, angel fish, lion fish, pipe fish, sea snakes, octopi, dolphins, tuna, sharks of all kinds, swordfish and many more. Feel free to ask if you need more.
the maximum depth fish can live is 400 meters under water
Are the fish you are reffering to from an aquarium, ocean or lake/dam? :). There aer thousands of different species of fish which preffer to swim at different levels in water. To get the average depth would be near impossible.
A Lion fish can live up to 15 years , even though it is dead it is still poisonous,it will paralyze you so don't touch it.I went diving inthe indian ocean and its wonderful fish to see but not from too close.
The rope is not as accurate as the sonar. The rope can move due to the ocean currents.
There are about 1.5 billion fish in the ocean.
Fish are cold blooded. so all you have to do is stick the therrmometer inthe water it is cept in.
