Salmon farms typically breed their fish through controlled breeding programs that involve selecting parent fish with desirable traits, such as growth rates and disease resistance. The selected adults are then spawned in a controlled environment, where eggs are fertilized and incubated until hatching. After hatching, the young salmon, called fry, are reared in freshwater tanks before being transferred to saltwater pens for growth. This method ensures a consistent supply of healthy fish for farming.

where fish live
That's where most of them live. There is more room to raise fish in the wild, then there is on fish farms. 3/4 of the planet is covered with water. There are also popular species that have to be caught in the wild for the pet trade as they do not breed in captivity or in fish farms, that goes for about 98% of saltwater fish in the trade!
you get two fish that when you are buying them say "breedable" then once you buy them, go to the "Breed" section of the menu, and then click on the fish you want to breed, then press "breed" then wait 3 days, then go to the menu then press the "Breed" then there is your new fish
