The one I tie most often is the Improved Clinch Knot. Easy to tie, and if tied right, the more the fish pulls the tighter the knot gets.

Some people prefer the Palomar knot. It is one of the best knots you can use for mono 100% knot strength. I have used this knot for years and never had it slip or break at the knot......Highly recommended. The Palomar knot is a great knot for sure, but not for crankbaits. It can make the bait saw off to one side or the other.

You might have to dig some of the tube out in order to fit your rod in.

Usually there is a snap on the top and bottem of the bobber to clip it onto the line. Some you have to tie on.

Make sure the weighted part is down.

Usually, the leader is tied to the fly line. The most common knot used is a nail knot. However, often a braided loop is permanently attached to the fly line, and leader material is then tied onto the loop. This makes for easy removal of the leader and is convenient for changing leaders when required.
