it differs from one type to another for eg carp takes about 5 years

pacu takes about 7-6 years

gold fish 4-5 years

cat fish 8-7 years

tilapia 1-2 years

giant gourami 4-5 years

............................and so on

Not only does it depend on the species like it says above, it also depends on many other factors. If you are talking about raising fry in an aquarium, there are several major factors to consider. How much and what types of food are fed, the temperature of the tank, the general water quality and the size of the tank to name the most important factors.

Generally speaking most aquarium fish will reach adulthood (sexual maturity) in less than 6 months time. Ther are of course exceptions. Some can mature in as little as 60 days, others in over a year and in some cases we really don't know since no one has ever bred them in captivity.
