Is it okay to wear a skirt if you are a man?

Legally yes! He will take no end of abuse and look really stupid. I would hope he would seek treatment.

There is nothing wrong for a man to wear a skirt. It may be a kilt which is a skirt by definition. Most pleated plaid skirts will look great on a man. There are skirts especially designed for men. A little bit of research in the past shows that not too long ago men used to wear skirts on a daily basis. Skirts used to be a man garment and could be very short. Women would wear longer dress. Again, we are not talking about dressing like a woman or cross dressing, we are talking about men wanting to go back and be able to wear what used to be their own.... A man in a skirt is a man not a woman.....

It is okay, and no-one has the right to stop a boy wearing a skirt if that's what he wants to do. It's much easier to do PE in a short skirt with pants underneath than it is in shorts, and likewise you keep cooler in the summer that way too. It's simply not fair that girls are allowed to dress that way and boys aren't, especially as boys get more uncomfortable than girls if they're too hot and sweaty and itchy inside their underwear. It's well known too that girls torment boys about this just to get them jealous, I've had this from girls at school and it makes me so mad and frustrated. So don't let them get away with it! A boy should be able to wear short skirts and cool cotton pants whenever he likes, and beat the girls at their own game!

In many cultures men do wear skirts - the Scottish kilt comes to mind.

Of course it is "okay" - it is just a form of clothing, after all, and better to wear anything rather than wear nothing.

But, in some cultures people frown on men who 'cross dress' - wear what is perceived to be "women's clothing", and they often draw unwanted attention and comments, and even violence from petty minded people. With this in mind, careful consideration ought to be given to the likely reactions before one decides to go out in public in a skirt.

boys dont wear skirts because skirts are for women

and they once said pants were not for women but look where we are now.They just havent made the right ones.

In the past this would have been considered a strange thing for a boy to do. In modern times social mores are changing. Some would argue this is a good thing others that this is a bad thing.
