The Riverside single shotgun marked with "3P" typically indicates the model or grade of the firearm. Riverside Arms Company, known for producing affordable shotguns in the early to mid-20th century, often used such markings. The "3P" may refer to a specific production run or design feature. For exact details about this model, checking with a firearms expert or reference guide may provide more insights.
I have one of these as well, can't find any info about it. bfpricesr@gmail.com
Single barrel, double barrel or pump? There are numerous models. However, most of them retail for under $250 in good, shootable condition. If unshootable, they're only worth anything as parts.
You only have twenty five seconds for one shot, or twenty five seconds to live. I'm not sure, could be either.
"Stevens_12_gauge_single_barrel_shotgun_with_no_model_number_or_serial_number_The_only_marking_says_Savage_you_are_having_it_repaired_and_need_the_model_number_in_order_to_order_a_new_stock" Where can I get help with this?
80 years plus or minus...
Yes.
What you have is a model 215 Riverside Double Barreled shotgun. There are only two models, the other one (315) has internal hammers. I recently obtained a model 215 and needed a new barell. I found a site that lists Riverside parts, but cannot vouch for them as I have not ordered yet. However, this is the only place I've found; It's Numrich Gun Parts Corporation. The link below will take you to the parts list for the Riverside double barreled shotgun. http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.asp?chrMasterModel=2680zDOUBLE%20BARREL&MC=
Blue Book of Gun Values would be one place to start
It is a Stevens gun, general utility type shotgun. Value around $200 in good condition. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Made before World War I.
Does anyone know? The marking on this shotgun only says, "Excelsior 77 Super". It is a beautiful shotgun, double barrell 20 guage with true wood stock and some engraving. Just trying to find out who made it and about how old it may be.
The only reference I have for Riverside Arms says that they were made by Stevens, J Arms (who are now owned by the Savage Arms Co.). Riverside Arms was probably a trade name for one of the large wholesellers operating during the early 1900's. The fact that the gun has a s/n implys that it was indeed made by a major manufactor (many of the low cost guns of that era did not), which reinforces the above reference.
