First, check your owner's manual. Some makers may recommend that slugs NOT be fired (usually with makers of variable choke guns) In theory, you can use any choke as open as full (Extra full used by turkey hunters, not good with chokes). In practice, MOST shotguns will shoot slugs most accurately with a Modified choke, but you will need to test fire YOUR gun, and see what it likes.

In a Miroku over-and-under shotgun, you typically have a selector switch that allows you to choose which barrel to fire first. Once you've loaded the gun, pulling the trigger will only fire the selected barrel. After firing the first barrel, you can then pull the trigger again to fire the second barrel. If it's only firing one barrel at a time, it may be functioning correctly, as that is how these shotguns are designed to operate.
Hi, Where can I have my Miruko 20ga O/U shotgun repaired? I recently had my Miroku re-blued but the sidings on the barrels came apart a bit. I would also like to have the fixed chokes opened up from the present Mod/Full to IC/Mod. Many thanks. GABE
