Scooter blenny's and mandarin's diets mainly consist of small organisms that build a colony in tanks once introduced over time called Copepods. Most tanks need at least 6 months of maturity for these delicate organisms to safely establish. Sometimes smaller prepared shrimp can substituted instead such as frozen mysis, but it is not always readily accepted and many Scooters will die of starvation.
Most blenny's will readily eat frozen mysis or brine shrimp. A lot of Blenny's will also consume sheets of algae.
