For waterfowl, you cannot use lead shot. Try Bismuth shot or Heavi-Shot. See your local gun shop.
Is it a screw in choke?
50-500 usd
I'm sure there have been several. I have a Remington 1100 in .410.
Remington 1100 would be just fine for trap. I started with one ans shot for a while until it became a serious hobby. I then spent a lot of money on a very nice trap gun. I shot better and better until I took a break from trap. When I decided to shoot trap again all I had with me was the 1100. Strange thing, I shot just a good with it as I did the spendy gun. Enjoy the game.
Remington 700's are center fire rifles. Remington does make a very good 12 guage shot gun called the 870 (pump) and the 1100 (auto)- those are the popular ones i have both
400 or so
As long as the barrel was made after 1950 and does NOT have a full choke, you will be able to shoot steel #2 or smaller.
Yes, a Remington 1100 with a 30-inch full choke barrel can be used to shoot steel shot, but caution is advised. Full choke barrels may not perform well with steel shot, which can lead to increased pressure and potential damage to the barrel. It's generally recommended to use an improved cylinder or modified choke for steel shot to ensure safe and reliable performance. Always check the manufacturer's guidelines and consult with a knowledgeable gunsmith if unsure.
There is a tube extension for a Winchester Defender 1100. Extensions include a 7 shot, 8 shot, and a 10 shot.

You need to specify what you will be shooting and what gauge 1100 you have with what chokes??? If you are doing Clay sports, which one? Skeet? Trap? Sporting Clays? (all would have different answers) Hunting? What species? Duck/Geese not only need different loads, but require steel or non-tox shot as well. Upland birds? Turkey? Deer? (some states do not allow Buckshot, but only rifled slugs) Generally the best shot to use depends on your game and the choke you choose for that sport. i have a 1100 and use the long barrel for deer, i use 4 buck, and its seems like that holds the best pattern in any situation.
