I believe they still sell a similar, if not the same, gun under the title of the 500 Special Purpose models. Check their website for the 500 HS410. There are also some other models in the 500 line that are very similar but with different gauges and some have pistol grips. http://www.mossberg.com/products/default.asp?id=5§ion=products

Mossberg makes an 18.5" personal defense/home defense/slug barrel for the 500 .410. The cost is approx $75 delivered via fedex. You should contact Mossberg directly to place the order. It's cheaper than Brownell's, Midway USA, Bass Pro Shops, etc. They get them from Mossberg to sell to you at a higher price.A NOTE OF CAUTION: Mossberg does NOT, repeat NOT recommend using slugs through the standard full-choke barrel. Using slugs in this barrel could bulge or burst the barrel.
The first known pistol grip shotgun is called a backpacker shotgun, with a shorter barrel, and shorter overall length. This is a very popular version of the shotgun, mostly purchased for home defense.
