Opening remarks for Recognition Day for students:
We are gathered here today to recognize those who have excelled academically in the past school year. I am honored to have been asked to take part in this very special event. We no doubt have three groups in attendance here today - those who excelled and will receive awards, those who worked hard and came up short of an award and. sadly. those who did not try at all. While we are pleased to take part in recognizing academic achievements, we encourage every one to find where your interests and abilities are and to pursue them. With that, on to the presentation of awards. and let us now remember happy and fun moments to share for the next school year.
An example of opening remarks for a debut party would include greeting guest, thanking the guest for attendance, and then an introduction of any guest of honors.
Example would be Martin Luther Kings "I Have a Dream". The opening should be unique to the person

Good morning, everyone! Today, we come together to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students, who have shown dedication, hard work, and resilience throughout the year. This recognition day is not just about awards; it’s a time to honor each student’s unique journey and the effort they’ve put into their growth and learning. Let us take this moment to applaud their accomplishments and inspire one another for the future ahead!
"In this new millennium we hope for a new world, one without bloodshed and injustice," is an example of an opening remark. This was part of an actual United Nations introduction.
Closing remarks for a tribute
Opening remarks for a graduation ceremony often include a warm welcome to attendees, expressions of pride in the graduates' achievements, and acknowledgment of faculty, family, and friends who supported the graduates. A brief reflection on the significance of the day and the journey the graduates have undertaken can also be included. Additionally, highlighting the values and lessons learned during their time in school sets a positive tone for the ceremony. Finally, a call to celebrate the graduates’ accomplishments and future endeavors can conclude the opening remarks.
Friends, Romans, and countrymen...Welcome to a better, longer life, starting rightnow in Nutrition Month!
Example of Closing Remarks
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen, students, faculty, and contestants", could be an example of welcome remarks in a coronation night. Welcome remarks should include the reason for the coronation night. A reason could be homecoming king and queen coronation or prom king and queen coronation, for example.
Closing remarks are very similar to the concluding paragraph of an essay. I have included a good example - see related links. The opening paragraph introduces the topic. The closing remarks provide a concise summary of the points made in the talk. Frequently, in the closing remarks, is a statement of the next course of action. Some people use closing remarks to thanks sponsors and other researchers, but this can be done in the beginning of the talk. The closing remark may be what the audience will remember most about the talk. One or two short sentences at the end, with words very well chosen provide an effective closure to the talk.
