deed
That would be a good "deed."
elderly
Well it's certainly a good deed! I often help the elderly across busy intersections (our traffic doesn't recognize crosswalks!) You have to approach the elderly very gently (some are hearing impaired or a little befuddled) and gently touch their arm and ask if they need help. Some will say they are fine (walk behind or along side of them to be sure they get across the road safely without saying a word to them) and some will be very thankfully for your courtesy.
They might help an elderly across the street, or be nice to someone when they are sad.
This is usually "a person who revives something or someone." The palindrome is "reviver."
A palindrome for a slang term for a dumb person could be "dim mid."
