A palindrome is a sentence, phrase, name, word or number series where the letters or numbers are in the same sequence when read forward or backwards. Some examples would be:

  • 2002
  • racecar
  • radar, rotor, civic,
  • tot mom mum dad
  • noon, toot, poop, sees, deed,
  • Hannah, Eve, Anna, Elle, Viv, Lil, Otto
  • Step on no pets
  • Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward to new era
  • A man a plan a canal, Panama
  • Able was I ere I saw Elba
  • Was it a cat I saw?

A palindromic number (or numeral palindrome) is a number where the digits are the same both backwards and forwards such as 121, 57875, 46597879564, etc.
