Most pediatricians agree that a child can control his body functions at age two. As a single mother, I cautiously approached the problem at that age. He was trained in two months.
Apparently it is the fashion now days to wait until the child is three. I think that there are some social activists who think that a child should be almost in nursery school before they learn to control themselves. A child can be successfully trained at two with no problems...ask your grandmother when she trained her children. Odds are that she will say before two, although some vary.
You know your child better than anyone else, so it is not a matter especially of age, it is your child's development. But in my opinion, if a child can go get the diaper, take off the old one and lift his legs to be changed...then it's time!!!
you tell him hess out of diapers then you sit on the potty as an example then he should do it mommy does the example or else they dont do it
Put him on the toilet
Always be sure you have something for him to play with or something for him to be entertained with. That should work. Good Luck!
Let them see how it is done
The same way a circumcised one ! Keep putting them on the potty so they get used to it. Eventually they realise this is where they do there business.
They should only not be potty trained if they have some case of mental retardation. By the age of 8 they can fully comprehend other people. By this time they should figure out that going to the bathroom is normal and should know how to do this. It could be either a boy or a girl. The age for being un-potty trained should be about 6 years old. If they are 14 and aren't potty trained they should wear teen diapers (flat or unnoticable ones to not be made fun of) and to learn how to change the diaper and whip themselves properly if in school or public restrooms or even at someone else's home.
Everyone says 15 but i started at 13.
7.
well tell him if he uses the potty you will give a quarter toy or anything that interets him then he will want to use the potty. farf shlounk pleb shebede forbede ICE. BANK. MICE. ELF. read it out loud really fast and something magical will come out of your mouth :)
Get him to at least sit on the potty while going in his diapers. This will get him used to the idea of sitting on a potty and pushing. After a few weeks, if he is still terrified of going without his diaper on, then cut a large hole in the bottom of the diaper without him knowing. Then when he pushes, the results will surprise and please him, and he'll see how easy it is. This worked for us.
you should love him at all times take care of him
Potty training any child is a huge challenge, but twin boy is an even larger one! The first thing you need to do is to set up a rewards program that will reward them for going in the potty. the second thing you need to do is to reassure them when they don't go in the potty. Asking them to go together might help boost their confidence to more often in the potty. Try putting cheerios in the toilet and ask the to try to pee on them, it sounds weird but it helps with aim and it's more fun.
