i have a brother with downsyndrome and my parents treat him normally. once in the store my mom put my brother in a corner and someone was like " he has downsyndrome give him some slack." and my mom said "just because he is not normal doesnt mean you should treat him too much different." treat him/her the same as a regular kid!
