Make the time to interact with them. make their activity part of your activity and vice verse. a four year old loves to be part of what is happening. you have to have the patience to be close and know what they are doing and accept that much of what they do needs guidance, That take time and patience, but after a while it pays of, keep them close and when they do it wrong show them quietly what they are doing wrong and show them how to do it right.
