The way I did it was to tell her I had something to tell her that wasn't easy to say. I had the added advantage of needing to wear them sometimes to bed. But I basicly said that I like to wear them sometimes because it gives me a sense of comforting, relaxation and they generally feel nice. My girlfriend was fine with it and lets me wear them to bed, and even wore one with me for the first night (and was ok about me waking up wet!). Just tell her, and explain that you didnt tell her until now because its a difficult subject to talk about. Chin up mate, im 22 and it took me a year before I told her.
