In New York, the monthly welfare benefits for children can vary based on the family's circumstances and the specific program. For example, under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, the maximum cash benefit for a family of three (which includes one child) is approximately $1,000 per month. Additionally, families may qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or other assistance programs, which can provide additional support. Overall, the total welfare assistance can vary significantly based on individual family needs and eligibility.

The amount of money provided for each child on welfare varies depending on the state and the specific welfare program. In the U.S., programs like Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) offer different benefit levels based on family size, income, and state regulations. On average, families may receive anywhere from a few hundred to over a thousand dollars per month per child. It's important to check with local welfare offices for precise figures as they can differ significantly by location.
If you were on Welfare they get to keep it.
None. We don't get welfare. We get Social Security. Something we earned and paid into working all our lives.
Welfare checks come in the mail at least once a month. The amount of a welfare check differentiates depending on the personal reasons behind receiving the check.
I have joint custody of my child i am ordered to pay 579 a month I live in Louisiana I only make 11.50 32 hrs a week is it a law i have to pay for child care in this state and can i choose where to send my child she is 2 yrs old .
Yes. I know I am father of 2 children whos mother is on disability welfare. She was forced to sign over child support to welfare as condition to continue to receive benefits. Me grossing less then 900 per month on ei forced to pay $114 either directly to mother or to gov. If money directly to spouse that amount taken off her cheque. If paid directly to gov she gets whole cheque. She is still entitled to make $500 per month part time job but child support considered father contributing to money given to her by tax-payers. It sucks but you can't fight city hall.
