Such practice is not to be confused with involuntary arousal. For example, a boy might wake up excited or have a noctural emission of semen. Similarly, some girls might find that they are stimulated unintentionally, particularly just before or after their menstrual period.

In contrast, such practice involves deliberate self-stimulation.

When young ones reach puberty, desires can become particularly strong. As a result, they might fall into that habit . Many would say it is not a big deal. " No one gets hurt", they argue.

However, there is good reason to avoid such practice.

Here is what The Creator of mankind, who has our best interest, has to say, in the Book of Colossians 3: 5. " Deaden, therefore, your body members.... as respects....that kind of appetite",

Such practice does not deaden that kind of appetite but FUELS it. It instills a self-gratification attitudes that are totally self-centered.

The Bible teaches us to cultivate self-control, and to help us do so, we should avoid circumstances that arouse us, such as watching certain films. Read 1 Thessalonians 4: 4,5 .

So instead of wondering how many times a day a 12 year old should give in to such practice, we adults should have the accurate point of view concerning God's moral standards. . Read Isaiah 48: 17,18
