A child's name is a personal choice to those naming a child. You might want to think about things such as where did the name come from can it be shortened to something that was unintended like Alexia. Does the name honour a relative or family friend. How does the intended name sound with the surname. Again the choice is a very peersonal one and be taken after careful thought. There is also a Scottish town called Alexandria.

Little too long IMO. i would not use one with 4 syllables. Perhaps Alexandra or something else. Alex is a little overused for females anyway (IMO). I prefer something a little less common like Maddison and Kimber.
