I have been visiting my friend's house frequently lately, and I have been talking to her 5 years old daughter quite a lot lately. As a woman and a mother, I feel something off about this little girl. My friend (the mother) loves her daughter very much and she spends a lot of time and effort into nurturing her daughter, so I need some advice on whether her daughter has the sign of being sexually abused before I talk to the mother.
The little girl is 6 years old, and the problems I have gathered so far:
- unknown dislike of her father (even though the parents are a happy couple)
- weird walking posture, she walks with her legs opened and bum sticks out. Similar to Anterior Pelvic Tilt posture
- extremely shy, dyslexic and have really short attention span
- made a comment about her dad's bed being in her bedroom (though she has her own bedroom)
Am I just being cynical?
One Answer: Maybe, maybe not. DO SOMETHING NOW (preferrably anonymously) as tomorrow might be too late. If your senses are wrong; you will still sleep better, knowing that the child (and mother) are safe and you merely "over-reacted".
Oh- and THANK YOU for your keen senses and your interest in the welfare of a child.

You can sue anyone for anything. Thie real question is whether or not your case will be accepted in a court of law. Whether an abuse of daughter by son-in-law case will survive court reveiw depends on the law in the particular juristiction, whether the daughter abused is also his wife, or is another of your daughters, and whether the abused daughter is a minor or an adult.
