ok well im 12 and im girl emo so...it really depends on how if your a girl or a guy
guys..most emo guys have the big thick bangs that cover your entire left eye. And their hair sits just above their shoulders, Usually emo guys have jet black hair ,and some guys even go with putting red or blue highlights through their bangs just to be different. Also if you feel like it you can spike it up a bit at the back. Layering your hair gives it that more emoer look too
girls.. for girls it mainly depends on if you want either short or long hair. If you prefer long hair than it mainly should be layered With the longest layer being around your chest and the rest of the layers should be just above you shoulders. The layers above your shoulders should be all puffed or teased up .And some girls have their hair colour either black or blonde with different coloured highlights everywhere. But if you prefershort hair than your hair should be very similar to the guys hair but instead of being spiked up it should be straightened And either way to get it done you should still have your bangs covering your left eye
well I'm scene and wear my hair short, just above my shoulders and i have long bangs that cover one of my eyes and then i make it have lots of volume by hair spraying it upside down i also use lots of hair products to help it keep its shape and look good u may also want to think about dying your hair as well in streaks or small chunks hear and there another thing you can do to get ideas is to go on YouTube.com and type in how to style emo hair and see what you can find im 12 to so i would no but this hairdo can work for any age

Im half emo-girl, and Im actually only nearing my 12s. I say: If you want the hair, look at the teacher. Teachers usually HATE emos and scenes, especially if your in a strict school. They think your hair looks a mess, feels a mess and they generally think you are a mess. If you only started school a year ago, this will be an impression your teachers will live with. So try not over do it and gradually build up on your emoness. When your 14/15, your ready to just let your hair loose. Puff it up, keep the maintenance every day with the hardest hairspray you can find, razor trim it FINELY.
If your a boy, do what you want. They (school) just expect more from girls, so you can be as creative as you want. Boy hairs are short and fine, so you just razor trim and gel your hair off.
I suggest not getting highlights JUST YET, because they will think your a true emo and scoff at you.
My old German teacher loved my hair, he used to feel it everyday (he's gay, so Im in the clear.).
My old french teacher hates it, and she still thinks its horrible. People have things against emos, so try to not let it show, until you are 'responsible'.

You don't need to have a certain hairstyle to be Emo :P
The girl likely styled her hair in an emo style as a form of self-expression. Emo fashion often includes unique and bold hairstyles that reflect a certain mood or identity. Additionally, she may have been influenced by emo music or culture.

Emo hairstyles are considered to be unique and individual. There are a number of different styles that fit into the emo category, and some are the long shag, medium bob, short sweep and thick bangs. These are usually cuts with jagged edges and many different lengths.
Emo hair has a lot of layers and at the top they rat it up a little bit giving it the poofy look
