They're jeans that mom's are stereotyped into wearing. These stereotypical jeans usually are high wasted, where the but isn't accentuated at all and in fact, look huge. Additionally, sweaters/shirts are usually tucked in. There's a good skit/spoof made by SNL making fun of mom jeans.

Moms (like me) like to wear mommy jeans because they fit best. My butt is big in anything I wear, because my butt is big. I have been wearing this style since I can remember, even before I was a mommy with a big butt. I never could get used to wearing a waistline in an unnatural place, I like my waistband at my waist. The styles you choose to wear is based on your motivations. My motivation is to look clean and neat, not to attract attention or a mate. I've had my share of those. And don't be shocked, but half the time I wear my shirt or sweater untucked.
