Babies can begin sucking their thumbs as early as the womb, typically around 20 weeks of gestation. After birth, many infants instinctively suck their thumbs or fingers for comfort and to self-soothe, often starting within the first few weeks. Thumb sucking can provide a sense of security and is a natural behavior for many babies.
a baby would because all they can do is cry and suck there thumb but leprecons can kick shins
No. But don't suck on your thumb, it's weird.
They CAN suck their thumb, however by that age, they should have grown out of it.
This is a quite normal behaviour for any baby. Some such their entire fist. Some only a finger or two. some only the thumb. A very few does not suck their fingers or thumb at all but this is very rare. Babies are all different. So are we. The good thing about a thumb is that it is always available :-) Intense sucking can make it red and sore. Give the baby something else to suck on as well.
Babies in the womb suck their thumbs. If you see your first scan and when doctor shows you that baby is sucking their thumb. It's incredible and a miracle all rolled into one. Marcy

Since it is considered bad to suck, as in a baby sucking his thumb, to say life sucks is the same thing as saying life is bad.
