Because they haven't had as much sleep as you have and they need to catch up on their sleep and that is why the older they get the less they sleep beause they are getting caught up.
its just a saying that a newborn would be asleep for alittle bit so you could sleep long like a baby. :>)
A newborn may sleep as much as 16 hours a day (or even more), often in stretches of 3 to 4 hours at a time. And like the sleep all of us experience, babies have different phases of sleep: drowsiness, REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, light sleep, deep sleep, and very deep sleep. As babies grow, their periods of wakefulness increase. At first, though, the need to feed will outweigh the need to sleep. Many pediatricians recommend that a parent not let a newborn sleep too long without feeding. In practical terms, that means offering a feeding to your baby every 3 to 4 hours or so, and possibly more often for smaller or premature babies. Breastfed infants may get hungry more frequently than bottle-fed babies and need to nurse every 2 hours in the first few weeks.
'Cute' is a matter of opinion. Usually, the parents believe the baby is beautiful, while other onlookers who do not give so much thought to the newborn may not think so.
gently hold the baby against your shoulder and pat it gently on her/his back, when the baby is clean and full, sleep is the only way to go. Answer Used to be that the nurses would bathe the babies at night so when they went home, their schedule had to be rearranged! You might also swaddle the baby--snuggly wrapping them in a blanket.
Possibly for yawning as wants to sleep :)
talk to them and say 'why are you so jelouse of your baby sister/brother? then show them as much love as you show the new born. talk to them and say 'why are you so jelouse of your baby sister/brother? then show them as much love as you show the new born.
Newborn kittens do not do much; they mostly suckle and sleep. When awake, the kittens will squeak to gain their mother's attention, and are able to wriggle around a little. Newborns are completely deaf and blind, so depend on their mother for everything at this stage.

"The product description explains that the baby must be able to hold his/her head upright. Obviously a newborn is not able to do this just yet. So the answer is no, the baby door bouncer is not safe for a newborn."
Not sure in what context you are using 'capacity'. Capacity for Screaming 100%, Eating and excreting 100%. Capacity for intellectual debate; not so much.

Their little bodies learn more in two days than you do in two years(not literally ). Give them a break their bodies are having to learn alot in a short time period. They will (most of them) grow out of it eventually. or they have a sleeping disorder
