No, I believe that the themes in a Raisin in the Sun are timeless. Racism (not just against blacks) still exists, as does assimilation. Poverty and a family's struggles aren't a thing of the past, they are still part of the world today. And the want to improve the lives of ourselves and our family are something we all think about all the time.
