you would have been expected to behave silent and if you werent you would be kicked out and they would have took all your money/shillings. Actually, no. The audiences were more rowdy than that, though apparently not as rowdy as they were at other theatres like the Fortune or the Red Bull, known for having brawls between audience members, or when there was a riot at the Swan and the theatre was seriously damaged, both physically and in reputation.
