Well, Shakepeare had a reputation for being quiet and a bit mysterious. His writing, they showed that he was keenly observant and was curious. Shakespeare thought deeply about life and its sufferings. Though, he had a sense of humor and found much to laugh at in life! He had a strong affection for his dad

Out of other 16 Jungian Personality Types, Shakespeare was found to be an INFP, estimated to be the third rarest personality type. Such persons are creative, artistic and spiritual. They are also deep, intelligent and full of empathy. Because they're daydreamers and introverts, they are indeed reserved. But I think they're mostly optimistic and love humour.

Strangely enough, there is nobody around anymore who actually met him. Nor did anyone write in their diary "Today I had a drink with William Shakespeare. Let me tell you what kind of person he is . . ." So our ideas about what he was like are usually speculative, and based on our fantasies about what kind of person we wishhe was.

It is true that unlike his contemporaries Marlowe and Jonson he did not end up in fatal fights in taverns, so he must have been less quarrelsome than they were. Unlike Jonson, he did not spend time pushing his own ideas and praising himself, so he appears to have been a quiet, modest kind of person. His keen observations about human beings suggest an introverted as opposed to an extroverted nature. On the other hand he spent a lot of time getting a coat of arms for his father, which he then inherited along with the right to call himself a "gentleman", which suggests that he was a bit of a snob. He was also an astute businessman who loaned money to others and insisted on having it paid back, which suggests that he was not a particularly generous person. All of this suggests someone who was quiet, modest, conventional, conciliatory, and introverted, who was concerned with social status and amassing wealth, not the romantic figure people like to imagine when they think of a poet. In fact he may have been rather boring. But history shows that many great authors and artists arerather boring.

There is nobody alive who ever met him so we are guessing at what his personality must have been like. He seems to have had great empathy, finding ways to get into the minds of many of his characters, even those who his contemporaries would dismiss as villains or comic relief. He was also very curious and observant, and seems to have picked up details of the practises of all kinds of people he came into contact with, from whores to noblemen.

He was good at writing, observant, insightful, but also somewhat proud and snobbish, living a fairly dull life, and a ruthless businessman.
