Gymnastics, ballet, jazz, and hip hop are best for drill team.
Jazz is like the mambo step quite fast. When we take salsa dancers that are on vacation in South Africa to a jazz club, the response is the "It's like the mambo."Most of them just need to get used to the beat and then they dance jazz the same night. I hope that i could answer the quetion,if you are talking about Cape Jazz Dancing. Jazz is like the mambo step quite fast. Musical theatre is more of a Broadway style of dancing. There aren't many differences between jazz and musical theatre. Probably the difference is that musical theatre is more like acting opposed to jazz dance where there is more dance technique. I personally LOVE jazz and have taken it since I was five and now I am going to be sixteen. Jazz is such a fun style of dance where you can express your style rather than act like someone else in musical theatre. Either way, keep dancing!
Both of them need balance. Jazz is more upbeat and a little more "free". In jazz you look for big kicks. In ballet you want to be controlled and a little slower. If you take ballet you will be better at jazz. Ballet is the base of all dance. ballet and jazz are similar in a lot of ways. The stuff you do is very close to the same thing. But jazz is bigger and faster.but it kind of depends as well because i take ballet and jazz but i find jazz a bit harder i think it's because you have got to relax completely when taking jazz.
Why not both!? Dance will help you with gymnastics, and gymnastics will help you with dance! Gymnastics is more of a mental sport, and if you decide to quit once you move up levels and it gets too hard, you can always do dance! Trust me, if you want to do gymnastics, at the minimum take a few ballet classes. They will help you gain flexibility, pointed toes and straight knees as well as your artistry in gymnastics. If you have enough money, I advise you to take dance and gymnastics.

No, as long as you have the facilities. If you want to join a club then you will have to pay but it's not that expensive :)

Yes, people who have had surgeries join gymnastics all of the time. But you should make sure to take it easy; dont do anything that could risk hurting you again.

Pre-competitive gymnastics is basically working on technique and conditioning, and getting you ready if you decide to take up competitive gymnastics. Many places let you compete in competitions. After some time if the coaches think you are doing well, they will recommend you to join the competitive group.
Join a club or take classes at a leisure centre. It isn't a safe sport to learn without support from a qualified coach.
