We have absolutely no information on which to base an answer to this question. All we can do is to make an educated guess. What would you do if you arrived in the big city from the country? Probably find a place to stay and a job, in that order.

Nobody knows. This is a part of Shakespeare's life called the "lost years" when we have no record of what he was doing. Of course people have a lot of speculations, but no real evidence. Sooner or later, though, he started to work in the theatre, became an actor and then a playwright.
