Stage fright is a multi-faceted phenomenon that can be experienced by any person carrying out certain rehearsed (or un-rehearsed) actions in front of an audience.

In most people, it is possible to cure stage fright, or at least reduce the intensity to a level where the effects of stage fright or "performance anxiety" are minimised.

As it is a complex phenomenon, there is no "one-size-fits-all" answer. However, there are a number of simple yet powerful techniques you can experiment with to help you gain control over your mind and body, so that you can become a master of yourself and a master of your performing environment.

Firstly, diet and exercise plays a role. Caffeine, refined sugar, and alcohol can all contribute towards an overactive Sympathetic Nervous System - this is the part of your nervous system responsible for creating activation - you might call it the gas pedal in a car. So, the more caffeine, sugar, and alcohol you consume, the more heavily your foot might be resting on the gas pedal, making you suffer unnecessarily strong stage fright in performing situations.

Secondly, stage fright is only possible when we are thinking of the outcome of a performance, rather than when we are 100% caught up in the moment - the action of performing in itself. Therefore, exercises such as field of vision exercises, Qi Gong, and other forms of meditation can help you to focus on the here and now - possibly removing all traces of stage fright all together.
