The best way I have found is to tondue your foot to the front and then instead of allowing your heel to go towards the floor think of pressing it in the opposite direction. Then once you see how that looks and feels move through other basic positions and make a note of the look and feel of each position. Then it's just a matter of remembering while you're actually dancing, it's not an instant fix by any means it will take time and work for your muscles to choose the correct position. DON'T GIVE UP!!
