This is not an easy process. You should buy a book about sign painting that covers glass gilding. You have to make gold size out of Gelatin capsules first. then you have a pattern with your design on the outside of the window. You flood the area to be gilded with the gold size and apply the leaf.....when the leaf is dry you have to back the gold up with flat black paint. this makes the gilded gold stick. any excess gold can be wiped off with cotton
