From my experience it is easier to start installing older version whatever it is. Because newer OSes have better boot compability with other OSes. Exclusions from this rule are Linux and Windows. It's better to istall Wndows and after that in a separate partion Linux.
If one or of the operating systems does not cooperate well with dual-booting (such as Windows with a Linux distribution), then you should install the troublesome operating system first. If both are well-behaved (such as two Linux distributions) then it does not generally matter.
Dual booting is not restricted to Linux. Dual booting refers to the presence of two operating systems on one computer. Switch/choice between these operating systems is determined at boot time (either via bios or boot manager), therefore only one operating system is at use at a time.
You do not have to dual-boot. This is a choice of practicality. Many people dual-boot to get the most functionality out of each operating system without having to purchase multiple computers. Running additional operating systems via another method, such as virtualization, can often impair the operating system's performance or capabilities.
Yes. This is known as "dual-booting."
Using an install dvd, there is usually an option to format

Yes, you will just have to choose at startup which system you will use.duel booting is a service through which we can install 2 or more OS. but for this we can install one SOS(Simple Operating System) and one NOS (Network Operating System) that's it.
Dual booting means two operating system installed on PC. for example you install windows xp and windows vista at the same time. or windows xp and Linux on same PC. Dual booting is only a term you can install more than one operating system on one PC. for example you can install 10 windows xp copies on your 10 drives.
It's called a "Dual-Boot" installation. When you start your computer, you will be asked to choose which operating system you want to use.
All the OS are compatible with dual OS.but here i will suggest you keep it parallel.
Install first an older system such Win98 (95, Me) and so on, and then install Windows Xp. Xp creates automatically dual boot menu.Do not install more than one OS per partition.
By dual-booting. You install them both to the same computer and choose between them at boot.
Yes. Linux can either replace the existing system or be installed alongside it in what is called "dual-booting."

You can dual-boot virtually any operating system with Vista.
The operating system sorts this out for you.
