Well, if Shakespeare is to be believed, you pretend to be nice to her while depriving her of everything she might want or need (sleep, food, new clothes) all in the name of being good to her. At the same time you are insufferably rude and violent to everyone else to demonstrate how unpleasant that behaviour is. That's the theory, anyway; it is unlikely to work in practice. Someone who has spent her whole life learning that she can get whatever she wants by being obnoxious is likely to respond to frustration by becoming ever more obnoxious.
