Well, I've watched Toddlers And Tiaras on TLC, and I think that you should maybe watch the show and think about it. The dress, spray tan, (if doing glitz), other outfits, etc. I would say to look up beauty pageants near your area or watch the show to see where famous pageants are and when. I hope that I helped!!!
Depends....if you are entering that is about $500 and then you have to buy all the stuff for your child to win titles
Depends what kind of pageants you are talking about : glitz - or - natural .

It really depends on the pageant. There are your average town pageants where you could win maybe 20-50 dollars. Then there are high glitz pageants where you can win up to 2,ooo dollars! But you have to keep in mind that pageants (especially glitz) can be very expensive.

Some people feel children's beauty pageants are exploitive. Since there are many different types of pageants that a child can participate in (natural, scholastic, semi-glitz, and full blown glitz systems) it is unfair to group all competitions into one basket. It also depends on the individual child and parent, how a child perceives the value of the competition. A pushy and insecure parent could convey a negative message to the child, hence making it a negative experience. A positive parent who encourages the child in a nurturing manner could make this a valuable stepping stone in the child's development.
Beauty Pageants are popular in the Western World. Countries such as the US, UK, Canada, France, etc. host beauty pageants.
Southern glitz beauty pageants are known for giving the biggest crowns. Most crowns are based upon the baseline entry fee. Pageants that give large crowns are usually the most expensive. If you are looking for large crowns, do a google search for "national beauty pageant" systems and see what comes up.
Beauty Pageants started in 1854. The first one was held by P.T. Burnum.
