How does Lady Macbeth cover for Macbeth?

There were many examples of deception in the Shakespearean play 'Macbeth'. But the most significant example that had the greatest impact on the course of events was the deception of the three witches. They told Macbeth [d. August 15, 1057] that he'd be safe from all men born of women. They said that he needed to fear only the man that wasn't born of a woman. They also told him that he needed to beware of Macduff. But they didn't link the two predictions. So Macbeth had a false sense of security. He never once considered the man not born of woman to be Macduff, who was delivered by Caesarian section from a dead mother.

Lady Macbeth is the epitome of deception in the play. She is the one who tell Macbeth to Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under't (act 1 scene 5 lines74- 75) which pretty much is saying that Macbeth should appear to be amiable towards King Duncan while plotting his assassination. After Macbeth kills the king, Lady Macbeth plants the daggers on the king's stewards so that it looks like they commited the crime and not Macbeth.

At the second meeting with Macbeth, the three witches tell him that he cannot be killed by any man born from a woman and not until birnan wood comes marching down. This is a twisted truth, as Macduff is born by caesarian hence is technically not born from a woman's womb and Macduff's army use wood from Birnan Wood as camouflage, giving the illusion that the forest is marching.

In a way, Lady Macbeth does deceive her husband (Macbeth). She encourages Macbeth to kill Duncan (the current king of Scotland) in order for Macbeth to become King of Scotland. If Macbeth becomes king of Scotland then this means that Lady Macbeth will be queen. Macbeth didn't really want to kill Duncan in the beginning of the play but Lady Macbeth forced him to believe that he had to kill in order to gain power. Lady Macbeth deceived her husband so that she could be Queen.
