No my dear child, Satan is not evil at all, he is in fact caring and peaceful, Christians believe he is evil when he is in fact, not. In Satanism there isn't even a Christian god named Jehova, there is only Satan who is actually a Sumerian god named Enki, which means Lord of the Earth, that doesn't sound so evil, does it? Also there are demons, which are basicaly Christians Angels, or patron Saints I guess. Did you know that the Egyptians in fact worshipped one of our demons? His name was Amon, or to the Egyptians, Amon Ra. So if the great Egyptians worshipped him, is he evil? Satan is also incredibly wise not some foolish ignorant beast. He is in fact beautiful even! No beast at all, he has no point tail or even horns, what you have been taught was wrong and saddening, I am in fact offended when I hear these things. Please give Satan a chance.

So, before I even begin to address this .. let me state that I am not "Christian". In fact, most "Christians" would consider me a "Satanist", but the truth of the matter is that I follow ALL paths, and NONE. There are nuggets of wisdom to be picked from any and ALL religions, but you have to read between the lines. Now that my background is understood, I will address the question .. and more importantly the answer. God and Satan are NOT two separate entities!!! If you believe that God made everything, then you can not say that there is no part of God in Satan. The truth in whole is simply this ... we are all but a small part of a whole. We are each "separate entities" that reflect some aspect of the "whole". Our consciousness as we know it is nothing more than a "single thread" which leads to a "super-consciousness".. which we all originate from and WILL return to after death. Time and time again. Our incarnation on Earth is merely a "learning experience", and each soul has many. Each live we live on Earth is to help us "learn" something ... to "experience" things such as hate, violence, anger, choice, and free will, which can not exist in the state of pure consciousness (super-consciousness) that we experience after each death. Once re-united with the whole, we are unable to experience many "lower" emotions due to the fact that we are connected with ALL of our parts. It is hard to hate somebody when that somebody is YOU!. Our time on Earth is dualistic .. meaning that everything has an opposite. Love/Hate, Peace/War, Day/Night, Cry/Laugh .... and so on. While on Earth we experience these things as "separate", when in reality they are "ONE"!!! Opposites define each other, as each bears the seed of the other. We could not understand Love without Hate, there would be no "Good" without "Evil" ... How can Day exist without Night? After death when our soul's unite with ALL, we realize that these things are one and the same. We then experience what is called a "singularity" ... meaning ALL IS ONE. Therefore, in order to properly "Evolve" our spiritual selves we all "volunteer" to spend time incarnate on Earth and experience differences.

So, I agree with the original "answer" when it states that Satan is not "Evil". He simply IS. Just as God is not "Good" .. he also simply IS. Satan is a creation of God for us to better understand a part of GOD!!! Since GOD is all that IS, and there can be no Good without Evil, Satan is simply a "thought-form", or something for our consciousness to "grasp", in order to understand a concept .... Is it not true that the Light seems the brightest in complete Dark? Satan is merely a way for us to understand a part of the "duality" we live in. Once one realizes this, one can experience "Singularity" .. or being one with all.

In the following paragraph, I will attempt to point out just how absurd the original answer to this question is. What the original answer has done is try and distinguish "Satanism" from "Christianity", but all it has achieved is "re-packaging" Christianity. By this I mean exchange the word "Satan" with "God" ... "Demon" with "Angel" ... and so on, and BOOM!! You have Christianity!!! So, essentially ... this view of "Satanism" is no more "Satanic" than Christianity ... it is the same thing with different "labels"!!!! Our views as Christianity and Satanism as "different" religions are mainly due to the fact that many people can not put their emotions and feelings (which have been molded throughout our lives by "religion", the society we live in, our parents ... ) aside for a moment and TRULY view the situation with non-judgmental eyes. In order to find TRUTH we first must raise above the deception of our EGO (who is great at it I might add) and realize that what we consider to be our "individual self .. or individual belief" is nothing more than a small part of a bigger whole, and the assimilated beliefs based on "Experience we have had, and how we have been raised to believe". Here, I will show you ....

- Or you could say that God is peaceful, and that many Christians "fall" for and think that Satan is NOT evil, when he really is .... OR from the "Christian to Satanist" viewpoint you can take the exact same sentence and make it this ... - In Christianity there really isn't a "Satan" either ... just a fallen Angel (who may have had a bad case of megalomania). Oh, and also Satan is not a god .... is Satan a thought form. Oh and also, since you seem to be all buddy buddy with your "Demon" Amon, I just thought that I would point out once again that Amon represents the essential and hidden. So pretty much you are praising the "hidden essential" ... or in terms of spirituality the "hidden knowledge"!! So, in conclusion I want to leave the curious reader with just a few small points.

1.) There is no "TRUE" .. or "ONE" path to spiritual attainment. There are as many different right answers as there are people in this world. Different strokes for different folks.

2.) EVERY "individual" can learn things from ANY religion. By remaining objective and "reading between the lines" I guarantee I could pull just as much "TRUTH" from the Koran as I could The Bible.

3.) Lastly, WE are all ONE!!! Our souls are immortal, always have been, and always will be. Our physical bodies are nothing more then a "covering" for our spiritual selves while we are here on Earth. The reason most of us can not "remember" past lives, or the afterlife, is because that defeats the whole purpose of what Earth was designed for in the first place ... free will. We are supposed to learn from our Choices and Experiences. Life is about the Journey ... and Enjoying ... LIFE!!! You already have all the answers you are looking for .. our task while incarnate on Earth is simply "Re-MEMBER-ing" .. or reclaiming our rightful spot as co-creator's. Once one realizes that they are simply one "strand of consciousness" that is always connected to the "greater whole" (which we return to after death in-between periods of incarnation) then ONE realizes that the power of creation is within yourself!!! By being in touch with your higher-self .. your ultimate source of Will and Intent ... you can actively play a role in the creation of the world around you!!! It is not a race .. we all get there in the end. Some take longer than others, but we all get there ... because we are all WHOLE. Think of life in the terms of "Education". Some lessons are learned easy (Learning colors for instance), and do not require "extended study". Other areas are tougher (Calculus/Quantum Physics) and require a much longer period of extended study. Those of us who's lessons in life have already been learned stay as ONE with the source and do not reincarnate ... those of us who still have learning to do don't.
