well the three witches are gathered on the heath and they are talking about meeting macbeth and that the battle between Norway and Scotland will fall in the victory of scotland. my english teacher also told me that it was important that the name 'macbeth' is first mentioned, this can give us an impression of macbeth and we can later predict what will happen.

At the beginning of the Shakespearean play, Macbeth [c. 1014-August 15, 1057] was a fellow General and friend to Banquo. He held the title of Thane of Glamis, and was the owner of Inverness Castle. He also was the husband of Gruoch ingen Boite [b. c. 1015], who was called Lady and Queen in the play. But in short succession, he became Thane of Cawdor and then King of Scotland.
