I read on the website absolute Shakespeare that the Globe was 3 stories tall (which would be about 36 feet). In other research I did, in No Fear Shakespeare books, it said that public playhouses/theaters (which the Globe is) at the time were 72 to 100 feet. Three stories doesn't seem right so I'm kind of confused right now. I hope this helps get you started.

The theaters of this time had 3 floors. The ground floor was used by men during a play. They stood and did not have chairs to sit in. They were very rowdy and loud. The next floor was for couples who sat in chairs. Often the people on these floors were better off and may be men taking a mistress out for the night. The third floor was "working ladies." These set up may the confusion by the person who answered your question and that the "floors" were counted by using the ground floor, which wouldn't really be three stories. By-the-way all of this was lit by tallow candles which gave off a oily smell and hissed. With the combination of body scents ( people didn't wash much) and tallow it is a wonder than anyone was there, but they probably didn't notice since they were use to it.

We don't know this exactly but it had three tiers of galleries which would probably make it 30 feet high without the roof.
