Shakespeare was baptized on 26 April, 1564 and died 23 April, 1616 (Julian - by Gregorian he died 3 May). It is not known exactly when he started writing, but local records show that several of his plays were being staged in London in 1592. Further, it is unlikely that he wrote any more after 1613.
