In the story Romeo & Juliet, Shakespeare introduces Juliet as his only daughter, But in actual fact he did not have one child but had more than one. In the story it does not exactly specify how many, but there is evidence that supports this in the story. For example in act one scene two when Capulet is speaking to County Paris, Capulet says, 'Earth hath swallowed all my hopes but she. She's the hopeful lady of my earth'. This basically shows that all of his children are dead and the only child remaining is his daughter Juliet.
