Sophocles
Over 120 plays
Because most of his plays were burned in fire. Only 7 left
it was about 300
The 7 surviving plays of Sophocles are: "Antigone," "Oedipus Rex" (also known as "Oedipus the King"), "Oedipus at Colonus," "Ajax," "Electra," "The Women of Trachis" (also known as "The Trachiniae"), and "Philoctetes."
I only know one and that is that he wrote 100 plays and only 7 survived..
Only seven out of the over 120 works written by Sophocles have survived, which is approximately 5-6% of his total works. This small percentage is largely due to the loss of ancient texts over time.
