∙ 14y agoWe don't know much about Rosaline as she does not actually appear as a character in the play. We know that she is giving Romeo the cold shoulder at the beginning of the play, either because it was fashionable to play hard to get, or because she recognizes that Romeo is playing at being in love and doesn't really have any feeling for her.
