"Which living being gets around on all fours in the morning, on twos in the afternoon, and on threes in the evening?" is the riddle that Oedipus must answer in order to become King of Thebes in the play "Oedipus Rex."Specifically, Oedipus correctly guesses that morning refers to infancy, afternoon to adulthood, and evening to old age. So he gives the correct answer: Man. As a result, the Sphinx jumps over the cliff to death, Oedipus is saved, and the people of Thebes are released from fear and taxes.
No, there's no discussion at all about Antigone's and Ismene's appearances in 'Antigone'. Sophocles [496 B.C.E.* - 406 B.C.E.] gives readers absolutely no clues as to the sisters' ages or looks. There isn't even a clue as to their exact ages or birth order. But readers may guess that Antigone is the elder sister because of being engaged to be married and because of the confidence with which she handles their interaction.*Before the Christian Era

If the seal mother gives birth to more then one young at a time then yes.
The answer is mogul. When I first did it I thought it was wrong but it's the right word.

The Sphinx was the gaurdian of Thebes in Greek mythology. In answer to your question, no one really 'killed' her, except indirectly. She basically comitted suicide because Oedipus solved her ridlle. "Which creature in the morning goes on four legs, at mid-day on two, and in the evening upon three, and the more legs it has, the weaker it be?" She strangled and devoured anyone unable to answer. Oedipus solved the riddle by answering: Man-who crawls on all fours as a baby, then walks on two feet as an adult, and then walks with a cane in old age. By some accounts[5] (but much more rarely), there was a second riddle: "There are two sisters: one gives birth to the other and she, in turn, gives birth to the first." The answer is "day and night" (both words are feminine in Greek).
